Dry ice blaster IB 7/40 Classic

BESKRIVNING

The Kärcher IB 7/40 ice blaster has impressive cleaning power. It is easy to use and has a clear control panel. The IB 7/40 is agile and easy to move around, even in tight spaces. Ice blasting minimizes cleaning time and can be done during operation. It eliminates many time-consuming steps such as masking, soaking, post-cleaning, etc.

IB 7/40 Classic: Kärcher dry ice blasters have a polished finish. All components used are of the highest quality. Well-thought-out measuring technology guarantees reliable blasting without ice formation on the machine. Kärcher blasting machines are designed for continuous use. Their operational reliability has been proven in numerous tests, including field and durability tests. The air flow in the IB 7/40 Classic has been optimised so that the available compressed air is guided through the machine with minimal pressure loss. This enables outstanding cleaning results with the IB 7/40 Classic, even at low pressure and low air consumption (max. 3.5 m³/min). A further advantage of this moderate use of resources is the low noise level. At a blasting pressure of e.g. 5 bar, the noise level is approx. 80 dB(A). The B 7/40 Classic is equipped with an emptying unit for residual ice. This means that any excess ice can be removed from the tank at the touch of a button when the job is done. This prevents the machine from freezing. The new ice blaster also has an integrated oil and water separator. This ensures reliable operation. The blast pressure and ice supply can be adjusted infinitely via the buttons. The set values are shown on a display. It is also possible to display statistical data such as operating time, average ice consumption per hour and total ice consumption. The regulation of the ice supply and blast pressure can be locked using a key-operated switch. DRY ICE BLASTING: Kärcher's dry ice blasting technology is a non-aggressive but thorough method for cleaning tools, moulds, surfaces and machines with the least possible processing and downtime. In this process, small pellets of frozen carbon dioxide with a temperature of -79 °C are introduced into a compressed air stream that propels them. These pellets hit the surface to be cleaned and cool it rapidly. The different temperature-induced contraction rates of the contaminants and the substrate cause the dirt layer to become brittle and break apart. The pellets enter the cracks and sublimate (evaporate) immediately. In this way, the dirt is blasted away from the surface. The cleaning in this process is based on the kinetic energy of the pellets, how the dirt becomes more brittle and loosens, and on the explosive vaporization of the blasting medium. The low hardness of the dry pellets results in exceptionally low wear on the surface. Like other blasting processes, dry ice blasting is suitable for treating complicated surfaces of the type found on printing presses and other machines.
