The RCV 5 vacuums and mops completely independently using artificial intelligence. Equipped with precise LiDAR navigation, a dual laser system and camera, avoids obstacles effortlessly.
Hard floors and low-pile carpets are cleaned independently and systematically by the smart cleaning robot RCV 5. Dry dirt is transported into the built-in waste container by the rotating brush, the side brush for the edges and the fan. The RCV 5 not only vacuums, but can also wet mop. In mopping mode, carpets are automatically avoided. Via the app, the RCV 5 is sent on an exploration tour and automatically creates a map of the rooms by detecting the surroundings ( LiDAR ). Individual cleaning parameters can be set for each room. For example, which rooms should be vacuumed, mopped or not cleaned. Thanks to the dual laser system with camera, the top model RCV 5 also detects and avoids flat obstacles such as cables, socks or shoes. Additional sensors prevent the device from falling, for example on stairs. For cleaning, you can easily start the RCV 5 via the app, using a preset individual schedule or by pressing a button on the device. If the cleaning robot needs help, it will in many situations tell you via voice output.
Features and benefits
Wet mopping
For even better cleaning results, the RCV 5 can also wet mop. If necessary, use the wiping unit with a microfibre cloth, fill the fresh water tank and you are ready to go. The RCV 5 robot vacuum cleaner can either be used for cleaning only, for wet mopping only or with both options together in the combined cleaning mode.
Precise navigation with artificial intelligence
With fast, robust LiDAR navigation scans and maps the robot's rooms with precision, ensuring the best orientation for reliable cleaning, even in the dark. The robot's dual laser sensor and camera allow it to even recognize small or flat objects that are too small for The LiDAR system (e.g. shoes, socks or cables). If the dual laser camera system detects obstacles, it incorporates them into the map. The robot passes around them with an intelligent navigation maneuver and avoids getting stuck or causing damage.
Mat detection and Auto Boost function
The RCV 5 automatically detects carpeted areas using an ultrasonic sensor and displays them on the map in the app. If wet mopping is activated, the robot avoids and goes around the detected carpeted areas. The Auto Boost function increases the suction power on carpets when needed for even better cleaning results.Fall sensor
- The fall sensors reliably prevent the RCV 5 from falling down stairs.
- The sensors scan the floor. If a large slope is detected, the controller receives a signal that triggers the robot to turn.
Data protection and updates
- Kärcher is based in Germany, which means we attach great importance to data protection and take great care to ensure that all applicable legal requirements in this regard are met.
- All data transfer between the Home Robots app on your smartphone and your robot vacuum cleaner and mop goes via a cloud to servers in Germany.
- Regular updates improve and extend the performance of the robot vacuum cleaner and the app. This also means that the system's security is constantly updated to match current specifications.
Voice output
- Always well-informed: RCV 5 uses voice control to provide important information and share current status.
- If the RCV 5 robot vacuum cleaner needs help or service, it will in many situations tell you via voice control.
Easily controlled via the app with wifi
- The app can be used to customize many of the settings to match individual preferences.
- With the app, you can configure the RCV 5 robot vacuum cleaner and control it from any location, even when you are not at home.
- Information about the current product status and a display showing the current cleaning progress are available in the app.
Precise mapping with versatile customization options
- The app can store multiple maps, e.g. for multiple floors.
- It is possible to define zones where you do not want the robot to go and clean (e.g. play areas in children's rooms or obstacles that the robot cannot avoid).
- Definition of selected areas to be cleaned multiple times, cleaned with an intensive cleaning mode, or mopped with more water.
Adjusting the cleaning parameters
- Definition of different cleaning parameters in the app, for individual areas in the rooms (e.g. suction power or water volume, number of cleanings per surface).
Timer program
- You can schedule cleaning times and create cleaning plans through the app.
- RCV 5 independently starts cleaning based on scheduled dates/times.
